WTF happened in the Utd game, 3 own goals!

As for the derby, woo, Atickson should be sacked however, how Everton didn't finish with 9 men max I will never understand. Fellani should have seen 2 red cards, Pieenaar should have gone over an hour earlier.

Yeah, United dominated and could of won by a lot more but Pompey were a bigger shambles than usual. Haven't seen the derby yet but will watch it some time this arvo when it replays.

I do love seeing United on top, especially with a big game tonight with our two rivals. Hope the young Gunners can knock 'em off!

Now with Kyra being sent off, I was amazed when the ref did not send Fellaini off, more amazed when he didn't even book him.

Although I was glad to see all the physical work, I mean that's what a derby is all about. Players from both sides going in hard, great physical play a brilliant derby, one of the better ones to watch.

Pepe Reina was solid, and although he didn't have to deal with to many damaging shots, when he had to he kept them out brilliantly. Insua wasn't as good as last week, but he still played well and put some great crosses in once again. Gerrard was involved in it all as always, although he was getting pissed off that he was not getting the ball of his teammates when he got into space.

In my eyes, Dirk Kuyt had a blinder. He deserved the player of the match award. He got under Neville and Howards skin to get that goal. Neville defended horribly and Howard was just to focused on watching what Kuyt was doing and trying to push Kuyt away and did not watch the ball at all. Howard pushing Kuyt gave him a better shot at that header imho. And my what a good header it was, everything about that goal was great. The kick in by Gerrard was brilliant and Kuyt done everything right to pick up his 50th goal for Liverpool!!

Eggnog was good up front, and while he did make some mistakes that were silly he did produce some chances and that is all you can ask from him. Babel done the same when he game on. Daniel Agger is not fully fully fit imo but he still performed alright. Everyone once again pitched in and done there part, Carra and Mascha were solid once again as always some good hard physical tackling and hard fierce attack on the ball by the two of them.

It is great to be in the 4 for the first time since Round one. We have been playing some good football and now with Fabio back and ready to come back even though we have to find room for him things are looking up. Torres is also to come back and when he is ready to come back he can go up front and Kuyt can get into an even more familar role and cause some damage like he has been lately.

Nothing is better then a Merseyside Derby win over Everton at Anfield!
But we have two tough matches coming up with Arsenal and City I think.

I believe we can come away with a win in both of them if we play good attacking football like we did last night! Carn Liverpool!

Good post.

I've watched the replay and it was one of Liverpool's better performances but still not up to the standard they were at last season. It's also going to be a big ask knocking off Arsenal next week.

I've always rated Kuyt, one of the few 'Pool players I do like. Gerrard is still far from playing his best football and I hope he finds his touch before South Africa. N'Gog is terrible and frankly a disgrace, diving piece of sh.it.

N'Gog is horrible he has zero ability to control the ball, it is really sad that he is our number 2 striker.

I can't think of a player I think less of. He's useless and does not deserve to be getting a game at Liverpool. Kenwyn Jones would of been a great signing over January for you guys, real shame it didn't happen. Problem with Reds is that they rely on Gerrard and Torres too much. Much like United this year relying on Rooney.
